The point is that it is inappropriate to the nature of
the list and by its own very nature, creates excessive
bandwidth that has nothing to do with the topic of the
list. There are *plenty* of politically active lists
where such posts are very welcome and you would get much
better responses. I whole-heartedly agree -- let's
please keep such discussions off this list. Thanks.
