uuencoding is a method of converting binary files to ascii for
transmission over the internet.  It will encode the entire contents of
the file (or document) and decode as original.

        If you are having problems with Word Macro virus strains, invest in the
IBM Anti-virus software.  It seems to have a better Word MAcro detection
scheme than McAfee.  BTW, Norton (Symantic) is licensing the IBM AV
technology.

        Another good product for Word MAcros is the Eliashim AV software. 
Which ever one you use, you need to keep it updated frequently!!!

        You can also set Word to not automatically run macros.  And, change the
normal.dot (in your word directory) to read-only.
