Request: Best Buy Toys, Inc., a leading toy and childrens
distributor and wholesaler throughout Scandinavia (Denmark,
Sweden, Norway, Finland), with annual sales exceeding (the
equivalent of) $40 million, is forming a subsidiary, eU Toys.com, to
sell toys throughout the European Union (EU) via the internet. (I
am a 20% owner of eU Toys and BBT is an 80% owner.)
We have already obtained the Domain Address of EU Toys.com
The Web-Site will be multi-lingual and multi-currency. At this time,
we believe there are no other European web-sites specializing in
sales and delivery of childrens products throughout the EU. (Only
local sites such as France.)
We have a guaranteed supply of product thoughout Europe via local
distributors I have worked with over the past 20 years. (I was
Executive Vice President, International Sales at Galoob Toys, Inc.
In September Galoob was purchased for $220 million by Hasbro
Toys.)
For various legal and financial reasons, while sales and deliveries
will be made exclusively to European consumers, the company
and (probably) the ISP, must be located in the United States.
We require a consultant, with experience in web design, web
organization, ISP selection, Web-Site Maintenance, and all
relevant aspects pertinent to setting up and successfully running
an exciting, multi-language children AND adult oriented e
commerce web-site with complete "Shopping Cart" capabilities.
Our business plan requires that the web-site is fully operational by
October 1,1999. I have only a "laymans" understanding and
knowlege of web set-up and the requirements of e-commerce. We
will require a consultant with adequate references to help plan the
web-site, help select (or be) the Web Designer, and help select
and work with the ISP. We estimate a Consultancy Agreement of
8-12 months and possibly longer or indefinite.
Budgets will be discussed at the next stage of communication, but
we require a web-site consistent with the reputation of a leading
multi-million dollar established European toy company.
We will be contacting a number of consultants and intend to select
the propsal which we feel will best meet our needs.
