Then Kat Nagel wronte: >All the time. I have several email accounts <snip> I used to use the email route for everything, and I still use it for certain types of record keeping. But around the 1st my partner decided to play with Cold fusion and he set us up a "resources" and "don't forget" database with a web form to add new info. Now I put the URLs and other "this article would be good for XXX project" info into our form, and I can rest easy knowing I'll be able to find the info when I want it. As a related result, I've finally stopped bugging him about the worthless NT box he cluttered up our office with (since that's what's hosting all the CF stuff) so he's happy, and I finally don't have to have 20 different email folders just for my "don't forget" emails! Also, in the same week he built our CF doohickey, I got my long-desired new tech toy, a Palm III. Now notes just meant for me (i.e. "buy Naga a bd card") go in my Palm while work stuff goes into the CF database. For two whole weeks now I haven't lost a single URL nor have I wandered around the house looking for my "personal" to-do list when I should have been doing work stuff. It's really been nice. Weird, but nice. --Tamra Heathershaw-Hart (still looking for that first opportunity to "beam" someone my business card from my Palm....) ------------------------------------------------------------ Hart Consulting http://www.hartcons.com/ Web Design & Engineering Studio Silicon Valley, California 650-967-6162 1-800-749-8032 (fax) ------------------------------------------------------------ ____________________________________________________________________ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Join The NEW Web Consultants Association FORUMS and CHAT: Register Today at: http://just4u.com/forums/ Web Consultants Web Site : http://just4u.com/webconsultants Give the Gift of Life This Year...
