Hi All, Well, after a chunk of research into spidering/indexing choices for my CF installation on NT, I have decided to use Webinator by Thunderstone: http://www.thunderstone.com/ It does exactly what I need (among many other things): spiders and indexes all .cfm pages, including those with links created on the fly. The only pages it won't index, and couldn't, are .cfm pages that are created as the result of user-selected form variables. It takes some reading to get going on the software, but it includes some cool stuff that I didn't find anywhere else for the price (free for indexing less than 10,000 pages): 1) Saves indexed data in a SQL database 2) Allows natural-language queries from a search form 3) Has "Concept Based Text Retrieval", which they call "Metamorph" 4) Has a CGI-scripting language and compiler (called "Vortex"): <quote>This extended HTML language is called Vortex. Vortex HTML is compiled into P-code similar to Java. Execution of this P-code is very fast and efficient in contrast to interpreted script languages like Perl. It can easily support the demands of very highly hit Web servers.</quote> Vortex allows me to pull from their proprietary SQL database and gives me tools for formatting the results the way I want them. Much more info available at the link I gave above, if anyone is interested.
