Hi,

Yesterday we had a thread about the fact that MySQL can't do "transactions"
(roll back on a group of queries if one fails). Well, I just realized that
while I'm using Cold Fusion I don't think that's a deciding factor for
whether I use MySQL or not, because CF has it's own built-in transaction
funtion that will do the roll-backs for me, if I need them. Doesn't matter
that the DB doesn't handle them natively. I have to do a little testing to
be confident that I can rely on the CF transaction funtion to work the way I
expect and will let you know what I find.

I think I remember hearing someone say that CFTRANSACTION was bloating their
online MS Access database, probably because it makes temp tables, so I'll
have to experiment and see what happens with MySQL.

Jack
