Search engines are becoming more and more savvy to cloaking
techniques. The real way to get good position, is to work meaningful words
into the text and titles. While I advocate the use of meta tags, many
well placed pages don't have keyword meta tags.

> allowed to simply reap the rewards of everyone else's efforts. And right
> now, without cloaking, that's what's happening.
If they steal the text itself, you have a legal case -- plagerism.
Same for derivative works.
The real problem, is that most page authors don't bother to see what
people are asking for, and so think that position under this or that word
will get them lots of hits. There are MANY word combinations that are
frequently used as queries, and many are so under-represented in the pages
on the net, that good placement, and hence good traffic, is easy to get.
That's why we list the number of pages and "value" in our search engine
reports.
