Dubbed the Anigma WebSlate, this product will join the previously announced Anigma WebMan as a lower cost version of the same concept. The product is slated for release in the second half of this year with a targeted, 10K unit price to OEMs of $299. The Anigma WebSlate is a tablet-like device, roughly 7 by 10 inches, 1-inch thick and weighing less than 2.5 pounds. It contains a 200 MHz Intel StrongARM processor, Microsoft Windows CE operating system, Spyglass' Device Mosaic browser for Windows CE, Lithium Ion batteries, 8 MB of RAM, 6 MB of flash ROM and an 8.2 inch DSTN color LCD with integrated touch screen. The product is designed specifically to enable wireless Internet access throughout a home with the addition of any of a number of wireless PC Card radio and base station solutions. This device will make accessing information and e-commerce on the Web as convenient as talking on a cordless phone.
