Ah, parents! Actually, I have a similar, but opposite problem.
I have five children, all adults and on their own. Yet, I have
the computer and Net experience ;-) from the old mainframe days.
It was fun getting four of them online. I set everything up, and
showed them what buttons to push.
Jim Daniels does a great job with newbies and has written a
couple of good guides and has a discussion list

which are very well done.
BTW, I am told WebTV is very easy to use, easier than AOL for the newbie.
