I have received two e-mails from the real [EMAIL PROTECTED]
list Monday afternoon, around the time I spoke with Al Silverberg. Just
two... (Now three.)
I spoke with Clever.net again just before 3pm Pacific time.
Clever.net is in Atlanta. They say there appears to be a problem with a
router in Los Vegas, Nevada, which may be dropping some e-mail bound for
the West Coast. They have received a number of calls regarding e-mail
from just4u.com, presumably from list members who are not getting their
e-mails.
In can ping both Clever.net and Just4u.com. Search engine polling
shows good connectivity, with the longest delay being 5 seconds from page
request to response, many at only two seconds delay. (Most of the search
engines are on the West coast.)
Best.com, my ISP, reports that as of about 3:45pm Pacific time, the
Clever.net router is a bit slow on their lookup compared to others.
Best.com's traceroute to Clever.net does NOT go through Nevada;
Clever.net's traceroute to Best.com does go through Nevada. My traceroute
goes through Alter.net via SCL (Santa Clara, California, I presume) to
Atlanta.
Www.Just4U.com does appear to be serving web pages, and doing so
fairly quickly. Test E-mail sent directly to me by a Clever.net technician
using the server hosting just4u.com did reach me, taking five minutes.
So I get the feeling that some of us out here are not getting all of
the list mail. If you want to comment to this post, please CC
[EMAIL PROTECTED] so that I will be more likely to get your e-mail, at
least till they fix whatever is wrong, wherever it is wrong.
