I am also use Redhat Enterprise 4AS  i My postfix is running properly.
sasl_pwcheck_method=auxprop in /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf,
/usr/lib/sasl2/imapd.conf and /eus/lib/sasl2/Cyrus.conf So auxprop only
support plain format, you have to write  i$CRYPT = "plain" in  web-cyradm
config file.
