Thank you, In /etc/imapd.conf I had this: sasl_mech_list: PLAIN Changed it to PLAIN LOGIN
Also changed username to username.myservername.com and it works (IMAP) locally. Still testing other issues :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Marcel Hartmann Sent: Sunday, July 10, 2005 2:00 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Web-cyradm] pam_mysql - SELECT returned no result Hi, > Subject: [Web-cyradm] pam_mysql - SELECT returned no result > > Do you have any suggestions to solve this? What is the username you want to autenticate? In your log is this user: Jul 10 12:46:16 ns saslauthd[2705]: do_auth : auth failure: [user=leon] [service=imap] [realm=] [mech=pam] [reason=PAM auth error] but you must have the prefix for the mailaccount as usernames!!! This looks like this leon0001 or whatelse you have configured. Is the user in the mysql Database? look in PhPMyAdmin, and is the encryption set to crypt? In pam_mysql -> pop, smtp, sieve and imap and in webcyradm? please do the following: $testsaslauthd -u username -p pasword; And give us the output from "ps aux | grep saslauthd". The saslauthd must have the parameter -a pam to get the pam_mysql working! in /etc/imapd.conf you must have this: sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd sasl_mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN and in /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf pwcheck_method: saslauthd mech_list: login plain Now the pop and smtp looks in saslauthd whitch is looking over pam_mysql in the mysql-database.
