There is a cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-6.fc4.src.rpm from
http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/fedora/linux/extras/4/SRPMS/repodata/repoview/cyrus-imapd-0-2.2.12-6.fc4.html
that builds cleanly on FC4.

gcc was just a symlink on my debian system to gcc-4.0 so I relinked it
to 3.4 and compilation was successful.. I feel safer doing it this way.

Hi, I was just curious if anyone was having trouble compiling cyrus
2.2.x using gcc-4.0? I just spent 2 hours tearing my hair out trying to
figure out if I had some missing libraries on a box that had gcc-4.0.
when I replaced gcc with 3.4 it compiled fine.

Hi Michael,
I too as having problems as some other users. We are all in FC4,
someone made a patch that seems to work. Im having problems getting
cyrus to work but i think its due to other things, not so much the
compile problem.
If anyone is using ggc 4.0 and wants to compile cyrus, email me and ill
email you the patch, its easy to apply.
