I've just completed a configuration of a server based on Luc de Louw's
(THANKS LUC!) Howto Postfix +CyrusImap+mysql+web-cyradm
(+squirrelmail).... to replace a legacy email system.
I've reached the same point as you... Its all working great but I would
like to implement some kind of global address book which is compatible with
both squirrelmail and ms outlook/outlook express...
I suppose that requires some flavor of LDAP, perhaps using mysql as a
backend....hopefully, i'd be able to modify web-cyradm to update the
appropriate fields in mysql during account creation.
I'm curious if you made any progess along these lines ? Does anyone else
have any suggestions about how to proceed?

Several times I got asked to combine some LDAP functions with
web-cyradm. -
Usually we replace MS-Exchange, admins are happy but missing their
centralized adress book, readable from Outlook clients. This wouldn't be a
problem with webmail soluctions like IMP and Squirrelmail. Unfortunately I
didn't find a way to use ODBC or similar conections from Outlook. Does
anybody have and idea or experience how to add this feature to web-cyradm?
