My recollection is that Postfix did not properly formulate and/or pass the
command to pam-mysql.
We were working with FC3. Perhaps it has been fixed in a later version or
different release.
Mike do you remember?

Subject: Re: [Web-cyradm] FQUN or [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of
user.domain1.com
If u host one or more domain is not relevant for functionality, you can
use hundreds domains.
Just take the user table and write [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], i dont
understand the problem - maybe web-cyradm cant take this, but thats the
fault of the tool - not pam-mysql.
kind regards

I apologize, I should have explained further. The pam-mysql module worked
when I implemented web-cyradm for a single domain. You're right, a FQUN
works in that case. However, I had no luck while implementing pam-mysql
for a multi-domain system. If you host more than one domain on the same
box, please show me the configuration. There is no user logging in the
auxprop system and I would really like to have the functionality.

Thats totally wrong.
pam_mysql DOES support FQUN email adresses - look at output:
shell> testsaslauthd -s mail-auth.mysql -u [EMAIL PROTECTED] -p secret
0: OK "Success."
So i guess your setup is wrong, but it is possible.
kind regards

Hello- Pam_mysql does not support FQUN email addresses. Sasl-auxprop is
used instead to pose queries to mysql directly for authentication.
Details on how to set that up are available in my howto:

Is there any way I can get the the whole tree? CVS anonymous access

Thanks. Got it.
Hmm.. I just found out that Gentoo already has this patch as an option
in it's ebuild. Unfortunately, it only uses this patch if one is not
using PAM. (which means it wont pull in pam_mysql)
hmm... I'm confused.
I'll going to check it out.
