I'm seeing the same problem - web-cyradm acts as though it has created
new users but directories and files are not created by Cyrus.

I have an existing SuSE 9.1 web-cyradm/postfix/mailscanner system using
Cyrus 2.2.3. I'm trying migrate to Ubuntu 6.06 which ships with Cyrus
2.2.12. Upgrading from PHP4 to PHP5 didn't help, and while I can create,
edit, and delete accounts on the Ubuntu box, there are no directories or
files created under /var/lib/cyrus/user (contains .seen and .sub files)
or /var/spool/cyrus/mail (contains actual mail messages.)

I can manually migrate IMAP folders by copying files and telling Cyrus
to rebuild the folders, but this defeats the purpose of having
web-cyradm. Is there something about the PHP libraries that don't talk
nicely to Cyrus 2.2.12 and Ubuntu's different filesystem structure, or
is it now-invalid assumptions in web-cyradm, or something else?

Also, I'm not worried about configuring Postfix at the moment. I can see
it trying to deliver to Cyrus and failing (expected directories don't
exist) so I expect that if I solve the Cyrus/web-cyradm problem, any
Postfix issues will also disappear. My primary goal is to get IMAP
working on both servers (SuSE & Ubuntu) so I can migrate my existing
mail without touching the filesystem or manually prodding cyradm into
rebuilding folders.

Any ideas? Anything I can do to help provide more data?
