Well, my initial considerations were similar to what bill mentioned above. Also, I had noticed someone else (not Massimo) had already taken web2py.org. Besides, the idea was also to take web2py further. Also It will be very difficult to keep all the tld for web2py unless we all (web2py aficionado) chip-in. Isn't that what open community is all about?
