I plan on making (actually, I have it but it's not user friendy yet) a
small script runnable from your own desktop that would (based on the
given hostname, u/p, and parameters you got from the provider) sort of
autodiscover the type of service and make some reasonable step-by-step
guide and/or generate some basic config files. This is not just for
web2py, but for more complex sites/frameworks that have specific
requirements (e.g. this will work with web2py, django, but php stuff
like zend, cake, too). If you're interested (or anybody else on the
list) in such an application, and are willing to beta test, please let
me know.
