t2 and self are the same object in t3. t2.action(name,value) is the same as URL(r=request,f=name,args= [value])
so in your case the id shoudl appear in http://..../firma_aktualisieren/ID where ID is a number. when t2 is instantiated is parses the URL and should store int (request.args[-1] in t2.id or self.id which is then used by update. in your case something is conflicting with this mechanism.
