Before you could do
session.flash='bla bla bla'
redirect(URL(r=request,f='action',args=[0]))
Now the latter two lines can be condensed in
redirect(URL(f='action',args=0),flash='bla bla bla')
Please test this. In particular I'd like to know if it breaks
anything.
