At a recent Microsoft code camp, there was a demonstration of ironpython, ironruby, and boo for a web site. They all used the same elaborate c#, web.config, and something else definition of variables, etc.. Supposedly, this was to make it more "safe" or whatever. Ironpython programs can be run without this, however, they are not "safe", "reliable" or ??. Maybe the presenter was too caught up in the "put up with java/c++ misery or it will do bad things". However this may actually have to do with the way python programs are to be integrated with .net.
There is a book on IronPython coming out on Jan 29. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py Web Framework" group.
