t2 used to have t2.is_gae, I could not find anything like that in utils.py
It will be important for example recaptcha: httpresp = urllib2.urlopen (request) on GAE you must use urlfetch. how should we flag GAE in a standard way? maybe request.env.web2py_runtime ?
