I've always been a fan of ASmallOrange (http://www.asmallorange.com/) - I am unsure if these libraries come preinstalled on the shared hosting, but you can always install them yourself (via SSH) or submit a trouble ticket.
ASO's support is top-notch. Virtually every request I have made has been satisfactorily addressed within 10 minutes - regardless of the time of day (or night) I submit it.
