In applicaitons/admin/controllers/default.py there is a function:
def keepalive():
return ''
use an editor (like wordpad) and change it into
def keepalive():
print "function called"
return ''
then open web2py, edit any file and wait 5 minutes. Look if anything
is printed in the console window.
