Lots of people here are not english native speakers (I am not) and some times we use terms with their meaning according to the vocabulary, not intending a negative connotation. I have seen this problem before with many things I said. Once I used "haha" instead of a "aha" and people thought I was laughing at them while I simply meant "eureka".
Bottom, line. Please always assume people on the list mean the best. Also feel free to correct us when we say something that looks odd or inappropriate.
