I thought I'd let other people know what I'm doing for a workaround. Until
it comes time for me to purchase a paid account with pythonanywhere, I plan
to add a variable to my app called FREE_PA_ACCOUNT and set it to true. Then
any time I have code that attempts to do a charge, refund, check, or
whatever to stripe's server, I'll just qualify it with "if not
FREE_PA_ACCOUNT:". I will still be able to store tokens obtained from
stripe's javascript code that I put into my pages and store locally what
money people spend and such. When I'm ready to make money, I can switch to
a paid account. If I occasionally need to test actually communicating with
stripe.com before I'm ready to get a paid plan, I can run it on a local
machine whenever I want.
