In my pov: 1. the applications/myapp/ dir is less complicated than a django project 2. you have the internal scheduler, python-rq and celery to choose from 3. up to you, web2py is ready to use many webservers through anyserver.py 7. I prefer something else but supervisord is useful in any case 8. views/generic.json is there for ages
