Is it necessary to have an SMTP server available on your system? I guess I was wondering if there is some kind of ad-hoc email server-like functionality that comes with web2py - for example, something like this: http://www.tutorialspoint.com/python/python_sending_email.htm - that can be readily integrated into the registration email schema. Email is really a weak point with me, so I'm a bit lost on this topic...
