We've been dealing with issue for a long time now, with a working workaround, but frankly, we sbouldn't bave to. It's actually a very basic and common use-case, so I am surprised nobody brought it up before...
The issue is with migration when changing constraints on fields. It fails silently. The problem probably stems from the fact that postgres stores identifiers in a lower-case format, and we are using mixed-case ones in the db. When we change the fields to lower-case, it works, but then we have to temporarilly fake-migrate it back to the original mixed-case. We do this every time we want to change a constraint on any field.
