Hi, Thanks for you reply.
I use ctrl+s without problems to save: did you try it ? > I first tried cmd+s but that invoked a 'save as' dialog, I then tried ctrl+s that does work, however, I experience working with keyboard shortcuts as disruptive, I prefer icons. I work on a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard or an iMac with Lion Server installed and to work with applications that are not available for Mac I have a HP with Windows installed. I did try using keyboard shortcuts, but since the actions they invoke sometimes vary between both operating systems I gave up. I also found that the action a keyboard shortcut invokes can vary between applications on the same operating system.
