I know this has been dealt with before, but I'm having some issues with implementation, and was hoping the community could weigh in. I was thinking of using the scheduler in order to hold, check related status of, and then respond to polls, but I am having trouble figuring out how one would go about 'holding' in web2py; I have seen gevent being used to sleep in the controller functions, but issues arise if this is not a broadcast communication. I was wondering how I would go about 'holding' a response until I am ready to reply or, alternatively, how to make it so no reply is sent and then later create a response using the scheduler. Thank you in advance!
