The Qt thingy is good in this regard as it is perceived by the user as a single application. I'm opening a QWebView widget (which is essentially a webkit browser). So you see only one app, there is no dos box/console stuff, just the quasi-browser which is the application at the same time. Also, when closing that, you're closing the app which is more natural then what you do with a 'regular' browser. Kinda like AIR, or Google gears, but Open Source powered.
