ah, nice. didn't know that. now i read it in the manual, and the db._lastsql makes it even a bit easier after the statement has run to compare to the output also. sweet. thanx for the tip. learned a new little thing. and after seeing the SQLs for all the different wanderings i did, things are much clearer now. thanx again. lucas
