That's exactly what I observe and it bothered me because I expected the behavior you describe in your reply. I haven't had this problem for a long time. Both web2py_development and web2py_deployment run on my Mac OS Lion Server, they're both version 2.9.5, the only difference is the connection string and the contents of the databases folder, since they connect to different databases, I migrated the models twice. web2py_development does not have this issue web2py_deployment does.
