Inspired on Jim's post, this works for me(o delete or create at parent
table level):
currentTable = request.args(1)
if currentTable:
deletable= create= True
else:
deletable= create= False
grid = SQLFORM.smartgrid(...
create=create,deletable=deletable,
...
)
