Hi, you need to fork web2py project on github, then you'll have your own repo in which you can push your change. (you need a github account)
Clone your own fork, make a change there and push it back to github. When you push the change, you can open a pull request from your fork to web2py's repo. You should be able to figure it out in the github UI. Let me know if you need more help.
