Hi, For those of you who don't know Bitnami, it is ridiculously easy way to deploy all sorts of apps on the cloud. Miles easier than Heroku in my opinion (which is an opinion). Bitnami works with "stacks" which are preconfigured environments and bundled software that you download, run as a vm, work on locally, and then deploy on the cloud (or create controlled virtual deployments for other servers). All very cool stuff.
Bitnami doesn't have a web2py stack yet, even though it has tons of others (most of what you can find on softaculous has a stack) but you can vote for it here: https://bitnami.com/stack/web2py I have no affiliation to Bitnami, just would like to see them offer a web2py stack, so thought I'd share the upvote link. Also thought I'd make people on here aware of bitnami, which once it has a web2py stack could become a valid deployment tool for others. There's also a "vote for web2py share button" you can embed on a web page here: https://bitnami.com/contest/applications/3704/share for those of you who have web2py blogs etc... -- Resources: - http://web2py.com - http://web2py.com/book (Documentation) - http://github.com/web2py/web2py (Source code) - https://code.google.com/p/web2py/issues/list (Report Issues) --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py-users" group.
