What do those child functions do? If they are controller actions, typically
they would return a dict, and then a related view would be executed, with
the generated HTML returned to the browser. In this case, though, those
functions wouldn't be returning anything to the browser, so do they have
some side effect that you're interested in triggering? What are you
actually trying to achieve?
