This is off-topic, but not unreasonably (I think) ... there is an overlap between Web2Py users and Mercurial users, and between Web2Py users and the Bay Area.
May 6 Meet-Up at Atlassian (the BitBucket people) celebraing 10 years of the Mercurial DVCS. <URL:http://www.meetup.com/Bay-Area-Mercurial-Meetup/events/222139518/> It's unfortunate for me that the notice is a bit short for an out-of-towner to get there (I'm in SoCal) , but maybe some other group members can drop in. The speakers include Facebook people who are also involved in implementing AND deploying Mercurial. (In-group question: Anyone done anything like meetup.com in Web2Py? It looks pretty straight-forward if you start with a blog engine or a wiki.)
