Doing an ordinary zip file requires manual copying and unzipping, doesn't
it? That works if you've got a shell on the server system (or, for a
windows server, a remote desktop).

chandrabhushana rao, are you trying to transfer from a development machine
to a production server? If you're running web2py on a development machine,
Anthony's advice is the easiest way to do it. If you have a different
environment, could you tell us a little more about it?
