You would need to create a phone number validator, because I do not
think web2py comes with one. I would follow some of the phone numbering
schemes on this blog
(http://blog.stevenlevithan.com/archives/validate-phone-number) or
wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E.164) while creating the
validator.

won't accept a no. more than 9 digits.. and length='10' takes up any
