It depends of so many factor... Let say the connection of his machine... About the script they are named base on the OS and version you should read them and try to understand I can't detailed step by step for you I don't have time... But if you read the book, deployment recipe are explained once you understand the basic, you may consider the scripts as a short cuts to cook the recipe detailed in the book...
