the two lines below work correctly to extract field value (geoNamesUserID) from a row, but is there a way to get the db value of geoNamesUserID into var your_geoName_user_ID in one line?
row_your_geoName_user = db(db.EngagementSquaredHost.geoNamesUserID).select(db.EngagementSquaredHost.geoNamesUserID, limitby=(0,1)).first() your_geoName_user_ID=row_your_geoName_user.geoNamesUserID (There is and probably will always be only one record in the table.) thanks, Alex Glaros -- Resources: - http://web2py.com - http://web2py.com/book (Documentation) - http://github.com/web2py/web2py (Source code) - https://code.google.com/p/web2py/issues/list (Report Issues) --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py-users" group.
