I have hosted our company website on Amazon Web Services platform with their managed mySQL services and it has so far proven fairly easy to setup. I used the Turnkey Linux web2py appliance and with a little work have a reliable hosting solution. There are a few gotchas when it comes to upgrading the solution, but everything else was pretty easy. If you sign up for an AWS account, there is a bill estimating tool that you can use to calculate expected monthly costs.
