I am currently working on the same believe it or not and looked at 
appointment manager. My idea was to create a meeting or appointment between 
two or more people and each of them will have their calendar updated based 
on acceptance of those meeting request. But appointment manager failts on 
crud.read. I haven't looked at other apps Dave pointed out.
