Maybe try something like:
ajax('{{=URL('default', 'ignite')}}', 'q', function(html) {$('#target').
append(html)});
The third argument to ajax() can be a function that takes the return value
from the Ajax call -- the above code simply appends that returned value to
the content of "target".
