well .... this is inevitable, I suppose; jquery doing it in javascript; opera doing in (?) I'll guess executable code, making a portable web services source, and traditional computing going small - twitter, iPhone, Android, etc. --- all these concerned with security on the open web, and wanting to be able to have phone-to-phone communicate...
It is as if the mobile and the desktop worlds are on a course to convergence. This might be pretty cool; this might take a while (or not) to sort out... FUN!
