i dont know how inside a form to block a field from users changing it.
But I need the value of that field because its a computed field.
If i do this
db.table.uuid.widget=lambda f, v: SQLFORM.widgets.string.widget(f, v,
_disabled=True)
then in
if form.process().accepted:
form.vars.uuid=None !!!
