I mean a HTML <table> whose code lies in a view "as opposed to" a sqltable:
my code looks like this:

.....truncate function..........
{{pass}}
{{extend layout.html}}
<h1>.....header...</h1>
<div class='table-responsive'>
<table class='table'><thead><tr><th>............</th></tr></thead>
<tbody><tr><td>.....</td></tr>.......etc...</tbody></table>
