i think you can use represent for that
e.g.
with button class
table.field1.represent = lambda value, field: \
A(value, _class = "btn btn-info", _href = URL('value') ) if value else ''
text with a link href
table.address.represent = lambda value, field: \
A(value, _href = URL('value') ) if value else ''
